6 Amazing Home Remedies for Wisdom Tooth Pain

WHAT IS A WISDOM TOOTH?

Most of the components in our body will be fully developed once we reach adulthood, however, there is one part that usually appears when we are between 18 to 25 years old- the wisdom tooth. Also known as third molars, wisdom teeth are the final posterior tooth in four quadrants in your mouth. They may all erupt at once or one at a time meaning for those who suffer the side-effects these can continue on and off for years.

WHY DO THEY CAUSE SO MUCH PAIN?

Wisdom teeth might not be able to fully develop due to insufficient space as they come through so late in life. Therefore, they can easily get stuck or push on other teeth which can cause severe pain and sore gums especially when you are eating food. This pain can go on for months as the tooth tries to break through the gum.

Moreover, you may experience several other side-effects such as difficulty in biting or chewing food, bad breath, headaches or pain from adjacent teeth. Sometimes, wisdom tooth pain might suddenly occur without any prior indication therefore, it might become unbearable as well as affect your daily activities or being able to sleep.
